What RateOwl is

RateOwl is an information tool. It collects publicly listed hotel rates from online travel agents and shows you how your prices compare, alongside demand signals for your market.

RateOwl does not set, change, or publish your prices, and it does not connect to your property-management or channel-management systems. Every pricing decision remains entirely yours.

Who can use it

You must be at least 18 and use RateOwl for a genuine business purpose. If you use it on behalf of a hotel or company, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for that organisation.

Your account

• Keep your sign-in method secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
• Give us accurate information and keep it current.
• Tell us promptly at support@rateowl.io if you suspect unauthorised use.

Trials and payment

RateOwl starts with a free trial that requires a valid payment method at signup. You are not charged during the trial, and we will remind you by email before it ends. When the trial ends your subscription begins and your payment method is charged unless you have cancelled. The price, billing cycle, and renewal terms are shown clearly before you confirm, and our Refund & Cancellation Policy applies.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Resell, redistribute, or scrape data out of RateOwl for a competing product.
• Reverse-engineer, disrupt, or try to overload the service.
• Use it for any unlawful purpose or to infringe anyone’s rights.
• Share one account across unrelated businesses to evade plan limits.

Accuracy of rate data

Rate and demand information is gathered from third-party public sources and is provided “as is”. It may be delayed, incomplete, or occasionally inaccurate, and it is not professional pricing advice. You are responsible for verifying anything you rely on and for your own pricing decisions. If you spot a wrong rate, tell us and we will look into it.

Intellectual property

We own RateOwl, its software, and its branding. You keep ownership of the information you enter; you grant us the licence needed to process it and provide the service to you.

Third-party sites

RateOwl reads publicly available data from booking sites but is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by them. Their content and trademarks belong to them.

Availability

We work hard to keep RateOwl running, but during beta it is provided without a guaranteed service level. We may add, change, or remove features, and occasionally take it down for maintenance.

Ending your use

You can stop at any time by deleting your account from the app. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or put the service or other users at risk.

Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RateOwl is provided without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for pricing or revenue decisions you make using the service. Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim, or RM200.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over any dispute.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will revise the date above and, for material changes, notify you. Continuing to use RateOwl after a change means you accept the updated terms.
